VIA 'Geared for Gaming' at Games Convention in Leipzig,
Germany
VIA together with Gigabyte and ABIT deliver the high
performance platform for the gaming finals of NGL Europe
during the Games Convention in Leipzig
Taipei, Taiwan and Leipzig, Germany, 19 August 2004 -
VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading innovator and developer
of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions,
today announced sponsorship of the gaming finals of the
Network Gaming League (NGL, Netzstatt Gaming League) taking
place at Games Convention 2004 in Leipzig from August
19 till August 22. As the part of the cooperation with
NGL, VIA has teamed up with Gigabyte and ABIT to sponsor
the PC systems on which the top German teams will play
the finals of NGL.
The NGL Finals, with prize money of EUR50,000, will be
the highlight of the Games Convention at Leipzig. The
best teams from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will
vie for the NGL Europe Champion crown, playing on 200
PC systems powered by the award-winning VIA K8T800 Pro
chipset.
