VIA Gets Geared for Gaming with Two Exciting Events
in the UK
VIA brings the latest gaming hardware to ECTS and plays
host to a Fatal1ty shootout, as well as taking part in
an action-packed ABIT Hardware Festival in London’s Leicester
Square
Taipei, Taiwan, 1 September 2004, - VIA Technologies,
Inc, a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip
technologies and PC platform solutions, is set to bring
its Geared for Gaming tour to London, England with events
at ECTS and Leicester Square that will put the spotlight
on VIA’s latest cutting edge gaming solutions.
Starting today, Wednesday 1st September, VIA will demo
high performance Entertainment and Gaming solutions at
ECTS 2004 (Booth #2320). Thursday 2nd September sees VIA
having the honor of hosting a Fatal1ty shootout at the
booth, with Jonathan “Fatal1ty” Wendell taking on all
comers in one-on-one battles for great cash and other
prizes.
Then on Friday 5th September, VIA will take part in an
action packed event in London’s Leicester Square from
11am to 5pm, as part of the ABIT Hardware Festival; VIA
will host a one-hour, fun-filled presentation with exciting
contests and an informative overclocking seminar.
At both events, VIA will be highlighting the K8T800 Pro
performance chipset, combining amazing performance on
the AMD64 platform with a blistering 1GHz Hyper-Transport
chipset to processor interconnect, with support for VIA
Vinyl Audio, native Serial ATA, multi-configuration V-RAID,
as well as superior overclocking features, fitting perfectly
with the requirements of gamers who demand only the best.

Taking place across five European countries, ABIT Fatal1ty
Shootout Europe gives European gamers the opportunity
to challenge the 3-time CPL Champion to a 1-on-1 match-up
for fantastic prizes. Fatal1ty Shootouts are competitions
open to attendees who want the chance to play against
the world famous professional gamer, Jonathan “Fatal1ty”
Wendell. Competitions consist of a 4-minute, 1v1 match,
and prizes will be awarded for any points scored. For

The ABIT Fatal1ty Shootout and Hardware Festival. Held
