Press Conference
VIA hosted a packed press conference at the Grand Hyatt Taipei Hotel on Thursday 5th June, where Tim Chen, Special Assistant to the President, and Richard Brown, Vice President of Marketing reviewed VIA's path to the VIA Nano processor, and introduced the Mini-ITX 2.0 concept. This was followed by a more in-depth look at the VIA Nano processor by CJ Holthaus of CPU design house Centaur Technology and Epan Wu, Director of CPU Product Marketing. Then Drew Henry, General Manager of NVIDIA MCP Business Unit gave an overview of the exciting possibilities of visual computing. Impressive demos of the VIA Nano processor working with NVIDIA graphics cards on the latest sophisticated PC games and Blu-ray Disc playback rounded out the press conference.
