Green California Schools Summit
California is on the leading edge of the green school movement, creating a state-wide framework and incentives for sustainable schools. The Green California Schools Summit will focus on the strategies, technologies and services that will ensure that new and existing public schools are models of sustainability and provide healthy learning environments for students.
As part of this, at Booth 410 VIA will showcase systems that combine application flexibility and affordability with industry leading low power consumption and a media rich feature set. Energy efficient computers with low power consumption not only reduce electricity costs, but considerably reduce temperature increases caused by ICT operation, making education environments more comfortable and reducing the need for room air-conditioning that can be expensive to install, operate and maintain. There’ll also be a chance to have a look at how green Ultra Mobile Devices, like the Samsung Q1b, are being used to great effect in educational settings.
With increasing pressure on our planet's natural resources, teaching our kids about the benefits of sustainability is more important than ever. So, come along to the Pasadena Conference Center on December 4-6 and see what VIA's doing to provide a greener computing environment.
