IkamvaYouth tuXlab
In cooperation with IkamvaYouth, a South African NGO providing computing capabilities and training, VIA pc-1 helped to bridge the digital divide and empower the youth of Khayelitsha to enhance the quality of their lives and work towards a better future.
IkamvaYouth established the tuXlab computer center in Khayelitsha, one of the poorest townships in South Africa. VIA donated twenty VIA pc-1 Clients, enabling them to set up an infrastructure for computing training. In addition, the local community also benefits by getting the opportunity to acquire new skills. Once Internet is available online communication, information sharing and education through the world wide web could become a reality.
