VIA PadLock Certification Program

The VIA PadLock™ Security Engine Certification program is designed to certify that third-party software products are compatible with the VIA PadLock Security Engine. The certification holder's software products will be added to VIA PadLock Certification list.

Being added to the VIA PadLock Certification list means that

• Your product can display the VIA PadLock Certified logo on any product materials.
• Your company and product information is listed on the VIA website.
• VIA Technologies, Inc. may promote the product as a key example of the VIA PadLock Security Engine at work.

Certification Process

1. Download the VIA PadLock Certification Request Form (PDF: 24KB)
2. Prepare a self-test and operation procedure report for applicant hardware/software products.
3. Complete the VIA Padlock Hardware/Software Certification request form.
4. Submit your product and the certification request form to VIA for testing.

R&D Testing and Feedback

After receiving the applicant hardware/software products, VIA R&D engineers will test products for their compatibility with the VIA PadLock Security Engine and the degree to which they benefit from its hardware-based security features. Successful candidate products will then be added to the VIA PadLock Certification list.

Response Process

The VIA PadLock Certification team will acknowledge the submission within three business days after receiving the request. A Submission ID will be given to the requestor via a confirmation e-mail.
The average process time of the certification is 14 business days after completion of the submission process.

The applicant will be notified by e-mail after certification is completed and successful products will be posted on the VIA PadLock Certification list.
