Through its flexible 66/75/83/95/100MHz Front Side Bus, the VIA Apollo MVP3 chipset optimizes the performance of a complete range of desktop and mobile AMD-K6™, AMD-K6-2™, AMD-K6-II™I, and VIA Cyrix® MII™ processors running at speeds of up to 533MHz. This provides the flexibility that customers need to configure their Value PCs, Internet Appliances, and notebooks for a wide spectrum of price points.

Flexible Desktop & Notebook PC Chipset Architecture
The VIA Apollo MVP3 chipset is based on an innovative and scaleable architecture with proven reliability and performance. It is a two-chip set consisting of the VT82C598AT North Bridge Controller paired with the VT82C686A South Bridge Controller for full-featured systems or the VT82C596B Mobile South Bridge Controller for mobile systems, as shown in the block diagram below.
