VIA KT266 Chipset
|
 |
The VIA Apollo KT266 is an efficient, cost-effective,
flexible chipset solution for systems based on the AMD
Athlon™ XP and Duron™ Socket A processors, across a
full spectrum of applications. With a 64-bit DDR266
SDRAM memory controller and a 266 MHZ front side bus,
the KT266 offers efficient system performance. An AGP
4X controller enables connection with external graphics
cards, and a V-link chip interconnect offers 266MB/s
of bandwidth between North and South Bridge.
The VIA KT266 is paired with the VT8233 South Bridge,
which is connected through the chipset's V-Link Hub
Architecture. Other key features include ATA-100 support,
AC’97 audio, six USB ports, and MC-97 modem.
