SDRAM chipset for the AMD Athlon™ XP processor, the VIA KT400 boasts
a complete set of today's cutting-edge features combined with VIA's
ultra efficient memory controller technology, delivering unparalled
system performance to Socket A compatible processors. Enhanced DDR333
memory support, offering 25% more memory bandwidth to the CPU than
mainstream DDR266, and the fast 200/266/333MHz processor bus, unleash
the full power of AMD Athlon™ XP processors, enabling stunning performance
across the full spectrum of applications.
In addition, VIA KT400 supports I/O technologies including AGP 8X
deriving maximum performance from the most powerful graphics processors,
and a 8X V-link chip interconnect with 533MB/s of bandwidth between
North and South Bridge enabling the processor to exploit the full

also features a complete suite of networking and communication features
including support for 6 USB 2.0 ports for peripheral connectivity

South Bridge include VIA MAC for 10/100Mbps Ethernet, integrated PCI
support, 6 Channel Surround Sound with VIA Vinyl Six-TRAC AC'97 audio
