The VIA Apollo KT333 is the first VIA chipset to feature DDR333
memory offering 25% more memory bandwidth to the CPU. Supporting DDR200/266/333
memory and a complete range of 200/266/333MHz Front Side Bus AMD Athlon™
XP and AMD Duron™ processors, the VIA Apollo KT333 provides lightning
fast access to the faster system memory enabling stunning performance
across the full application range.
The VIA Apollo KT333 is part of the V-MAP family of chipsets, which
provides pin compatibility across the full range of VIA DDR products.
V-MAP, or VIA Modular Architecture Platform, allows motherboard manufacturers,
OEMs, and System Integrators to serve different market segments with
a single, unified platform design. This approach speeds time to market
and ultimately reduces the price of V-MAP based mainboards. The VIA
Apollo KT333 (model number VT8367) is completely pin-compatible the
VIA Apollo KT266A (VT8366A) to ensure rapid time to market. It can
be paired with a choice of VT8233/VT8233A/VT8233C South Bridges, which
are connected through the chipset's high bandwidth V-Link Hub Architecture.
