VIA Memory Validation Program
In order to make it easier for our customers to find the best memory components for their systems, VIA has established a rigorous testing and validation program to ensure complete compatibility of various vendor memory modules with select VIA chipsets for Intel processor based platforms. Before submitting modules to VIA, memory suppliers must show that the modules have passed the supplier's own internal testing. The memory modules are then tested at various temperatures and voltage using VIA internal procedures and standards both with hardware and with software. Once the validation process is complete, the results are then submitted to the supplier. If the part passes the validation process, VIA will then post the validated part on their webpage. If the part fails, a series of co-validation and retest are then initiated, ensuring maximum compatibility with the wide range of VIA chipset solutions.
