Optimized to deliver a great Hi-Def™ visual experience
when playing digital video content, the VIA P4M800 IGP
chipset delivers a highly integrated solution for value
desktop PC designs.
The VIA UniChrome P4M800 chipset features the VIA UniChrome™
2D/3D graphics core with MPEG-2 acceleration and DuoView™
technology for excellent multimedia performance and
complete flexibility on the desktop.
The VIA P4M800 also integrates support for 800MHz FSB
and high performance DDR 400 memory modules. The P4M800
also features an Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) 8X
controller, and the high speed Ultra V-Link interface
for combination with VIA's feature-packed VT8237R Plus South
Bridge.
In combination with the VIA VT8237R Plus South Bridge, the
P4M800 offers a comprehensive range of integrated storage,
multimedia and connectivity options, including native
Serial ATA and V-RAID, with support for RAID 0, RAID
1 and RAID 0+1 arrays, as well as support for VIA Vinyl
Audio, and high-throughput Gigabit Ethernet with the
VIA Velocity controller.

Integrated VIA UniChrome™ Graphics Core
The VIA P4M800 comprises the integrated VIA UniChrome™
2D/3D graphics core optimized for key productivity applications
as well as digital video playback through a hardware
MPEG-2 accelerator, and features DuoView™ functionality
for an extended desktop, making it the perfect chipset
for corporate desktops and workstations based on the
Intel Pentium Processor.
High Performance CPU Interface
The P4M800 chipset supports connections to the latest
Intel® Pentium® 4 Processors supporting 800MHz FSB and
Hyper-Threading technology, including Prescott core
based processors.
VIA Vinyl Multichannel Audio Suite
Delivering rich, warm surround sound at resolutions
as high as 24/96 through up to six- or eight-channel
outputs, the VIA Vinyl Audio 5.1 surround sound and
VIA Vinyl Gold Audio 7.1 surround sound enables crisp,
clear performance, representing the highest levels of
audio quality in a mainstream integrated or onboard
solution.
Unified VIA Hyperion 4in1 Drivers
VIA's unified approach to drivers has been established
for eight generations of chipsets, allowing end users
to benefit from seamless hardware and software compatibility.
