Internationally Renowned High-Tech Industry Leader Dr Morris Chang to Deliver Keynote at VTF2004 Taipei

VTF Taipei 2004 boasts a broad array of distinguished keynote presenters from TSMC, AMD, Infineon, and Phoenix

Taipei, Taiwan, 17 May 2004 - VIA Technologies, Inc, a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions, today confirmed that Dr Morris Chang, founding Chairman of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company will deliver the opening keynote presentation at the fifth annual VIA Technology Forum (VTF2004) in Taipei.

As the creator of the world's leading silicon integrated circuit foundry, Dr Chang is widely acclaimed as one of the key architects of Taiwan's dominance in the high-tech world, and has had numerous honorary degrees and awards bestowed upon him in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the microelectronics industry.

His keynote will be followed by presentations from VTF2004 Platinum Sponsors, including AMD, Infineon, Maxtor and Phoenix.
