VIA Announces December Sales Results

Taipei, Taiwan, 2^nd January 2006 - VIA Technologies, Inc., a leading innovator and developer of silicon chip technologies and PC platform solutions, today announced net sales for December 2005 of NT$2.29 billion (US$69.83 million approximately).

On a sequential basis, this monthly sales revenue represents a 4.00% decrease from November's figure of NT$2.39 billion (US$72.73 million approximately).
